Resources for blogging

A collection of the best and most helpful online tools I’ve found that make my blogging 10x easier.

  1. The Pinterest extension button. If you’ve ever googled anything about how to get more views on your blog you’re likely to have come across this thing called backlinking. Which is effectively just creating links on external sites that lead back to your blog to increase the possibility of people finding you. Pinterest is one of the easiest ways to create these backlinks, and with the pinterest extension button you can easily create a whole heap of pins right from you blog post.
  2. Canva. This one leads on from the first, in that it is another site that is great for making those beautiful pinterest pins, instagram stories, etc and making them super easily. The site offers a whole heap of free templates for any sort of visual project you could need and once agin this will help to establish those back links.
  3. Keywords Everywhere extension. This chrome extension will make a whole set of the most searched keywords surrounding any search that you do on the chrome google browser making it much easy for you to find the perfect keywords to create good tags for your post. Simply type in the subject of your post and use some of the suggested keywords that will appear on the right of the screen. This will also allow you to see website stats of any website so that you can find high traffic topics and topics that people are potentially not so interested in so that you don’t waste your time on non-competetive niches.
  4. WORD. Yes Microsoft word. Everyone knows how to use it and it might pay of to write your posts in it and then copying them over to your blog site to help prevent any spelling or grammar problems. Naturally this will work with any writing program that has a good spell-check in it which unfortunately WordPress is lacking quite a bit at the moment with their checker being quite oddly formatted and difficult to use.
  5. Alternatively try adding Grammerly to your chrome. This extension works by running a check over your writing as you go so that it is giving you the effect of having an editor, read over all of your posts. The extension will not only pick up on any mistakes but also suggests changes to word choices to inctease fluidity as well as detect the mood of your written piece.
